The funding round brings together leading entrepreneurs and music artists to support thumpN’s next phase of growth.

Pre-seed funding will support the growth of ThumpN’s AI-powered live event discovery and ticketing platform.

AI-powered live entertainment discovery platform ThumpN has raised more than US$3.75 million in a pre-seed funding round led by a mix of leading entrepreneurs, investors, and music industry personalities.

The round includes investments from Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Paytm Chief Financial Officer Madhur Deora, singers Arijit Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan, and Badshah, along with Capitalmind co-founder Shray Chandra and Hyperlink Brand Solutions founder VG Jairam.

The fresh capital will help the startup expand its AI-powered discovery platform and strengthen its position in India’s rapidly growing live entertainment market.

Building an AI-first platform for live experiences

ThumpN is an artificial intelligence-driven discovery and ticketing platform designed to help users find live events based on their interests rather than relying on traditional keyword searches.

The platform covers a wide range of categories, including concerts, comedy shows, festivals, sports, nightlife, and regional cultural events.

Instead of browsing multiple websites or social media platforms, users can discover experiences through conversational interactions powered by AI.

Founder aims to simplify event discovery.

Varun Khare, Chief Executive Officer of ThumpN, said the company was created to solve the fragmented nature of live event discovery.

He explained that consumers currently rely on a combination of social media feeds, messaging apps, recommendations, and search platforms to discover events.

According to Khare, the rapid expansion of India’s live entertainment industry, combined with growing adoption of conversational AI, created an opportunity to build a more intuitive discovery experience.

He said the company aims to make finding live experiences feel as natural as having a conversation.

Shadow powers personalised recommendations.

At the centre of the platform is Shadow, ThumpN’s conversational AI assistant.

Rather than displaying standard search results, Shadow interprets user intent, understands conversational context, and analyses information gathered from multiple event sources to recommend relevant experiences.

As users continue interacting with the platform, the AI learns from their interests, attendance history, and preferences to deliver increasingly personalised recommendations.

This adaptive approach allows the platform to evolve alongside individual users instead of relying solely on static recommendation algorithms.

Combining artificial intelligence with human expertise

ThumpN supplements its AI technology with insights from a network of human contributors.

Artists, event promoters, venue operators, and local genre specialists provide additional context about events taking place across different cities.

By combining machine learning with local knowledge, the platform aims to deliver recommendations that better reflect regional entertainment trends and community preferences.

The company believes this hybrid approach improves the quality and relevance of event discovery for users.

Tools for organisers and creators

Beyond serving consumers, ThumpN also offers technology designed for event organisers, artists, venues, and promoters.

The platform provides AI-powered onboarding tools and audience insights that help organisers better understand customer behaviour, market events more effectively, and plan future experiences.
