Khara brings nearly two decades of experience across BharatPe, FairMoney, Gojek, and MobiKwik as a super. Money expands into payments, credit, and commerce.

Flipkart-backed fintech platform super. Money has appointed Rohan Khara as Chief Product Officer, strengthening its product leadership as the company expands beyond payments into credit and commerce.

Khara brings nearly two decades of experience across financial services, consumer technology and product development. His career includes senior roles at BharatPe, FairMoney, Gojek and MobiKwik, with experience building financial products across India, Indonesia and Nigeria.

Khara’s experience across fintech

Khara most recently served as Chief Product Officer at BharatPe, where he led product development and innovation across the company’s merchant and consumer businesses.

Before joining BharatPe, he was Managing Director of FairMoney’s India business. He had earlier served as Chief Product Officer for FairMoney’s operations in Nigeria and India.

His experience also includes being part of the founding team of Gojek’s Financial Services business in Jakarta, where he worked on financial products for emerging markets. He has also held product roles at MobiKwik.

The experience gives Khara a background across multiple emerging markets and financial products, from payments and lending to broader consumer-facing financial services.

super. Money expands beyond payments

Khara’s appointment comes as super. money broadens its product offering.

The fintech launched in 2024 and has expanded from its core UPI payments business into areas including credit, deposits, rewards and commerce. Its latest commerce offering, splitStore, allows eligible purchases to be divided into interest-free and fee-free repayments.

The company has also been developing its commerce strategy. In August, Super. money announced that splitStore would form part of its push into online shopping and instalment-based purchases.

The broader strategy is to bring payments, rewards, credit and commerce together within one consumer platform.

Building across UPI, credit and commerce

Prakash Sikaria, founder and CEO of super. money, said the company is focused on building a broader financial platform around how consumers pay, borrow and shop.

He said Khara’s experience across technology, financial services and consumer behaviour would be important as the company develops its next generation of financial products.

Khara said he plans to build on super. money’s existing consumer proposition and develop products across UPI, credit and commerce.

“I’m excited to build on that foundation and create products that turn everyday transactions into lasting financial value across UPI, credit and commerce,” Khara said.

What comes next for super. money

The appointment comes at a time when super. money is looking to make its payments platform a broader financial and commerce ecosystem.

Alongside UPI, the company is building products around rewards, credit and shopping. It has also begun exploring AI-powered consumer agents for activities such as shopping and financial transactions, reflecting its wider push beyond traditional payments.

Khara’s role will cover product strategy and innovation as super .money develops these businesses.

For the former BharatPe CPO, the move marks a return to a fintech product leadership role, this time at a platform attempting to connect everyday payments with credit and commerce.
