Naturis Cosmetics has secured Rs 100 crore in its first external funding round to expand manufacturing, strengthen research and development, and accelerate growth across India’s beauty and personal care market.

Indian cosmetics manufacturer Naturis Cosmetics has raised Rs 100 crore in its maiden external funding round, led by Sharrp Ventures, the investment firm backed by the family office of Harsh Mariwala.

The round also saw participation from Mirabilis Investment Trust, the family office of Infosys co-founder K. Dinesh, alongside Anicut Capital, Niveshaay, Hyperscale Ventures’ Suyash Saraf, Yogesh Kabra, and several angel investors from the pharmaceutical and specialty chemicals sectors.

Capital to Expand Manufacturing and R&D

Naturis plans to use the fresh capital to significantly expand its manufacturing and innovation capabilities.

The company will establish a 225,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Vapi, develop a new experience center in the National Capital Region, and open an advanced research and development center in Mumbai.

It also plans to strengthen its workforce across multiple business functions to support its next phase of growth.

Powering India’s Beauty Brands

Headquartered in Mumbai, Naturis operates as an R&D-led original design manufacturer (ODM) serving India’s fast-growing beauty and personal care industry.

The company develops products for more than 50 beauty and direct-to-consumer brands, including Pilgrim, Nykaa, Purplle, Kay Beauty, Colorbar, Asaya, Bare Anatomy, Hoop, Innovist, and Antinorm.

Beyond cosmetics, Naturis also partners with pharmaceutical companies such as Glenmark and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories to develop over-the-counter healthcare and cosmeceutical products using advanced formulations.

Expansion Into New Categories

Over the next five years, Naturis plans to diversify into several high-growth segments, including:

  • Men’s grooming
  • Body care
  • Color cosmetics
  • Fragrances
  • International exports
  • OTC pharmaceutical products

The company also aims to strengthen its product innovation pipeline while expanding relationships with both existing and new consumer brands.

Leadership Commentary

Rahul Tandon, Co-Founder and CEO of Naturis Cosmetics, said the funding represents confidence not only in the company but also in India’s manufacturing and innovation ecosystem.

He added that the investment will help Naturis strengthen its research capabilities, expand manufacturing infrastructure, and support the development of the next generation of Indian beauty brands.

Divya Gupta, Principal at Sharrp Ventures, said Naturis stood out because of its deep formulation expertise, strong quality systems, and customer-centric approach.

She added that the company’s ability to operate as a strategic product development partner, rather than simply a supplier, has enabled it to scale rapidly while delivering strong financial performance.
