Mukesh Bansal-led Nurix AI has acquired Verloop.io to expand its voice and chat automation capabilities for enterprise customers.

Mukesh Bansal-led startup strengthens its AI platform to help businesses automate customer engagement at scale

Nurix AI, the enterprise artificial intelligence startup founded by Myntra co-founder Mukesh Bansal, has acquired conversational AI company Verloop.io as it expands its voice and chat automation capabilities for enterprise customers in India and the Middle East.

The companies have not disclosed the financial terms of the acquisition.

The deal brings together Verloop.io’s conversational AI technology with NuPlay, Nurix AI’s voice AI platform, enabling businesses to deploy AI agents across voice, chat, and emerging AI-powered communication channels.

Acquisition strengthens enterprise AI platform

Nurix AI said the acquisition will enhance its ability to help organisations automate customer engagement and business workflows through a unified AI platform.

By combining voice and chat automation, the company aims to support enterprises that want to move beyond pilot projects and deploy AI agents across multiple customer touchpoints.

Mukesh Bansal, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Nurix AI, said artificial intelligence is becoming a core operating layer for businesses, but its success will ultimately depend on delivering measurable business outcomes rather than experimental deployments.

He added that Verloop.io’s expertise in chat automation complements Nurix AI’s work in voice AI, creating a stronger platform for enterprise workflow automation.

Building AI agents for enterprise operations

Founded in 2024, Nurix AI develops autonomous AI software and intelligent agents designed to automate enterprise processes and customer interactions.

The Bengaluru-based company is backed by investors including General Catalyst, Accel, and Prosus.

Nurix AI raised US$27.5 million in seed and Series A funding in September 2024 through a round led by General Catalyst and Accel, with participation from Meraki Labs. The company later secured an additional ₹135 crore in funding, with Prosus joining its list of investors.

The latest acquisition reflects Nurix AI’s strategy of expanding its enterprise AI capabilities through both product development and strategic acquisitions.

Verloop.io brings large-scale conversational AI expertise

Founded by Gaurav Singh, Verloop.io provides conversational AI solutions that help businesses automate customer interactions across digital channels.

According to the company, its platform manages more than 20 million customer conversations every month across industries including banking, financial services, retail, and telecommunications.

The acquisition gives Nurix AI access to Verloop.io’s experience in large-scale chat automation while expanding the range of AI-powered customer engagement tools available to enterprise clients.

Leadership team expands

As part of the acquisition, Verloop.io founder Gaurav Singh will join Nurix AI’s leadership team.

He will help guide product strategy, enterprise go-to-market initiatives, and the development of next-generation AI agents designed to support increasingly autonomous business operations.

Singh said many enterprises already recognise the potential of artificial intelligence but continue to face challenges when deploying AI reliably at scale.

He added that combining Verloop.io’s conversational AI expertise with Nurix AI’s broader agentic platform will accelerate enterprise adoption of autonomous AI throughout the customer lifecycle.

Focus on integrated AI experiences

Following the transaction, Verloop.io will continue operating as part of Nurix AI.

The combined platform is expected to strengthen Nurix AI’s ability to support businesses with both real-time voice interactions and chat-based customer journeys through a single AI ecosystem.

Although the companies have not announced detailed product integration plans, the acquisition signals Nurix AI’s ambition to build a comprehensive enterprise AI platform capable of automating customer service, business workflows, and digital engagement across multiple communication channels.

As organisations increasingly adopt artificial intelligence to improve efficiency and customer experience, the combined capabilities of Nurix AI and Verloop.io position the company to compete in the rapidly expanding enterprise AI automation market.
