The funding round, led by Finvolve and IA, will help Zoppler Systems expand its defence and dual-use technology business.

Bengaluru-based defence and dual-use technology startup Zoppler Systems has raised Rs 6.5 crore in a funding round led by Finvolve and India Accelerator. The company plans to use the capital to accelerate product development, strengthen field validation and expand deployments across defence and other strategic sectors.

The fresh funding will also support Zoppler Systems in expanding its engineering capabilities as it works to commercialise its indigenous technology across a wider range of operational environments.

Zoppler Systems focuses on RF sensing and autonomy

Zoppler Systems develops indigenous radio frequency (RF) sensing technologies and a vendor-agnostic decision and autonomy platform designed to integrate sensing, intelligence and response capabilities.

Its systems are being developed for applications across airborne, ground and naval platforms, with potential future use in space-based systems. The company is also targeting dual-use applications beyond defence.

The startup’s architecture is designed around Edge AI and open-system principles, allowing compatible defence organisations to add new sensing and decision-making capabilities to existing infrastructure without necessarily replacing legacy systems.

The platform can also support networked autonomy, enabling multiple assets to share information and coordinate responses across different operational environments.

According to Zoppler, this approach is intended to improve the speed of decision-making while supporting interoperability and operational flexibility across compatible systems.

Expanding into dual-use applications

While defence remains a core focus, Zoppler Systems is also exploring applications for its technology across critical infrastructure and industrial environments.

Potential areas include ports, airports, energy infrastructure, industrial facilities and logistics operations, where RF sensing, real-time intelligence and automated responses can support monitoring and operational decision-making.

The funding comes as India’s defence technology ecosystem continues to see greater attention toward domestically developed technologies and systems that can serve both military and civilian applications.

Zoppler said the new capital will help it move further from product development and validation towards broader field deployments, while strengthening its ability to serve defence and dual-use customers.
