Flights across the UAE will partially resume on the evening of March 2, as major carriers gradually restart limited operations following regional airspace closures.

Emirates, Etihad Airways, and flydubai have begun phased resumptions after three days of disruption triggered by escalating regional tensions.

Several countries, including Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and the UAE, announced partial or full airspace closures. The restrictions forced widespread cancellations, diversions, and delays, leaving thousands of passengers stranded.

Emirates to Operate Limited Services

Emirates confirmed it will operate a limited number of flights starting the evening of March 2 as part of a gradual restart.

The airline said it will prioritise passengers with earlier bookings. Customers rebooked onto the limited services will receive direct notification. Emirates advised travellers not to go to the airport unless they have confirmed flight details.

Etihad Resumes Select Operations

Etihad has resumed certain limited flight movements from Abu Dhabi, although regular commercial services remain cancelled.

The airline said repositioning, cargo, and repatriation flights may operate in coordination with UAE authorities, subject to strict operational and safety approvals. All scheduled commercial passenger flights to and from Abu Dhabi remain suspended for now.

flydubai Restarts on a Limited Basis

flydubai will also operate a restricted number of flights on the evening of March 2. The airline urged passengers to update contact details through its booking system and check flight status before travelling to the airport.

Air Arabia Extends Suspensions

Air Arabia has suspended all flights to and from the UAE until 3 pm on March 3. Services to Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, and Iraq remain suspended until March 4. The airline said it continues to monitor developments, with passenger and crew safety as its priority.

UAE Airports Begin Partial Reopening

Dubai Airports confirmed that a limited resumption of operations will begin on the evening of March 2 at Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport.

Abu Dhabi Airports said operations partially resumed at Zayed International Airport as of March 2, in coordination with relevant authorities and airline partners.

Sharjah authorities also announced a limited resumption at Sharjah International Airport under a defined operational schedule.

Meanwhile, Ras Al Khaimah International Airport said operations remain temporarily suspended until further notice, advising passengers to stay in contact with airlines before travelling.

Airlines and airport operators said they will issue further updates as the situation evolves and as additional airspace restrictions are reviewed.
