MakeMyTrip has entered a strategic partnership with Minor Hotels to strengthen its international hotel inventory for Indian travellers.

The collaboration gives users access to more than 560 premium and luxury properties across Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The portfolio includes city hotels and resort destinations under brands such as Anantara Hotels & Resorts, Tivoli Hotels & Resorts, NH Collection Hotels & Resorts, Avani Hotels & Resorts, nhow Hotels & Resorts, and Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites, among others.

Rising Demand for Premium International Stays

Over the past year, MakeMyTrip recorded bookings across more than 77,900 unique hotels in over 4,350 cities spanning 192 countries. Additionally, the number of unique international hotels sold in 2025 rose 17 percent compared with 2024.

Significantly, nearly one-third of these bookings came from the premium hotel segment, where the average room-night fare exceeded ₹15,000. This trend underscores steady demand among Indian travellers for higher-end international accommodation.

Currently, 60 Minor Hotels properties are live on the platform. Going forward, the company plans to expand listings gradually across Minor Hotels’ broader global portfolio.

‘Loved by Indians’ Tag Targets Traveller Preferences

Notably, twelve of the currently listed Minor Hotels properties carry the “Loved by Indians” tag. This label specifically highlights features such as Indian-friendly dining options, accessible locations, and smoother connectivity for Indian guests.

Meanwhile, Rajesh Magow, co-founder and Group CEO of MakeMyTrip, said the partnership aligns with the company’s broader strategy to collaborate more closely with leading global hospitality groups. He added that the tie-up will enhance the depth and quality of international stays available on the platform.

At the same time, Ian Di Tullio noted that Minor Hotels is sharpening its focus on Indian travellers as outbound demand from India continues to rise. He further explained that the group is tailoring property features and guest experiences to better match evolving traveller preferences.

Strategic Implications for Outbound Travel

Indian outbound tourism has expanded steadily, with premium travel forming a growing share of bookings. By integrating a global luxury portfolio directly into its platform, MakeMyTrip increases control over inventory, pricing, and user experience.

For Minor Hotels, the partnership improves direct access to one of the fastest-growing outbound travel markets. For Indian travellers, it broadens premium stay options across major international destinations while reflecting preferences specific to this market.
