The kitchen brand founded by Chef Sanjyot Keer plans to use the funding to expand its products and reach more customers.
Cüraa, the kitchen and lifestyle brand founded by Chef Sanjyot Keer and entrepreneur Neeraj Kumawat, has raised ₹40 crore in a Series A funding round led by 3one4 Capital.
Existing investors Kae Capital, Lumikai and Better Capital also participated in the round. Investment banking firm ValueBridge Capital advised Cüraa on the transaction. (thebrandbeats.in)
The fresh capital will be used to expand Cüraa’s product portfolio across pre-cook and cooking categories, strengthen warehousing and supply chain infrastructure, expand distribution across direct-to-consumer channels, marketplaces and quick commerce, and hire senior leadership across key functions.
The funding comes less than two years after Cüraa launched in September 2024, as the company looks to establish itself as a larger consumer brand in India’s kitchen products market.
Cüraa Targets Everyday Indian Cooking Needs
Cüraa was founded by Chef Sanjyot Keer, who built Your Food Lab into a large digital cooking community, and Neeraj Kumawat.
The brand develops kitchen products around the practical needs of Indian households, with a focus on performance, usability, design, and everyday cooking.
Keer’s experience creating food content has given him direct exposure to how Indian consumers cook and the problems they encounter in their kitchens. The company is using that understanding to develop products intended to solve specific cooking challenges rather than simply add more products to an already crowded kitchenware market.
“For the last decade, I have had the opportunity to understand how millions of Indians cook, the challenges they face in their kitchens and the products they wish existed. Cüraa is a natural extension of that journey,” said Keer.
He added that the company aims to combine performance, thoughtful design and everyday usability while expanding its reach to more Indian households.
Cüraa Has Served More Than 300,000 Households
According to the company, Cüraa has served more than 300,000 households since its launch.
Its monthly net revenue has increased 25 times since September 2024, while the brand reports an average product rating of more than 4.5 and a Net Promoter Score above 70. (thebrandbeats.in)
The company’s growth has been supported by product demonstrations, content-led discovery and feedback from consumers, allowing it to use its existing digital audience while building a standalone consumer products business.
This creator-to-consumer model is becoming increasingly relevant in India’s consumer market, where established creators can use audience trust and category expertise to introduce products of their own.
For Cüraa, however, the next stage will depend on whether that initial consumer trust can translate into wider distribution, repeat purchases and a larger product portfolio.
How Cüraa Plans to Use the Funding
The company has outlined several priorities for the new capital.
Cüraa plans to introduce more products across pre-cook and cooking categories, while investing in the infrastructure required to support larger volumes.
The company will also strengthen its warehousing and supply chain network. This is particularly important as it expands beyond its existing direct-to-consumer business into marketplaces and quick-commerce platforms, where product availability and fulfilment speed can directly influence sales.
Cüraa also plans to hire senior executives across key functions as the business expands.
Neeraj Kumawat, Co-founder and CEO of Cüraa, said the funding would allow the company to strengthen product development, supply chain, customer experience and distribution.
“We are building Cüraa for the long term,” Kumawat said, adding that the focus remains on creating a modern Indian consumer brand capable of delivering products consistently at scale.
3one4 Capital Leads the Round
For 3one4 Capital, the investment reflects the potential of Cüraa to combine consumer trust with the operational discipline required to build a scaled kitchen products business.
Anand Batra from 3one4 Capital said Cüraa brings together Keer’s credibility among Indian home cooks and Kumawat’s focus on building the systems required across product development, supply chain and distribution.
The investor believes this combination could help Cüraa develop a mass-premium kitchen brand specifically designed for Indian homes.
Existing investors are also continuing to back the company.
Lumikai’s Salone Sehgal said the firm’s initial investment in Cüraa was based on the belief that India’s digital consumers would increasingly buy products recommended by creators they trust. She argued that while many creators have audiences, fewer have built communities capable of supporting a consumer business. (thebrandbeats.in)
Kae Capital has similarly backed Cüraa’s approach to developing kitchen products around the changing requirements of Indian consumers.
From Food Content to Consumer Products
Cüraa represents the latest step in Sanjyot Keer’s career beyond food content.
Through Your Food Lab, Keer built a substantial digital audience by creating cooking content and demonstrating recipes and techniques. Cüraa takes that experience into the physical products consumers use while cooking.
The company is effectively attempting to bridge the gap between knowing how Indians cook and designing products specifically for those behaviours.
That distinction could become important as India’s kitchenware and consumer appliances market becomes more competitive. Consumers increasingly have access to products from established Indian brands, international companies and newer digital-first businesses.
Cüraa’s proposition is therefore based not only on aesthetics but also on understanding the practical requirements of Indian kitchens.
What Comes Next for Cüraa
With ₹40 crore in fresh funding, Cüraa’s immediate priority is expansion.
The company plans to broaden its product range, strengthen its supply chain and increase its presence across D2C platforms, marketplaces, and quick commerce. It will also build out its leadership team to support the next phase of growth.
The bigger challenge will be turning the early traction into a sustainable consumer business.
Cüraa has already built a customer base of more than 300,000 households and significantly increased monthly revenue since launch. The next phase will test whether the brand can maintain product quality and consumer trust while expanding across categories and distribution channels.
For Chef Sanjyot Keer and Neeraj Kumawat, the ₹40 crore Series A gives Cüraa the capital to move from an emerging kitchen brand towards a broader consumer business built specifically around the way Indians cook. (m.economictimes.com, thebrandbeats.in)
