The AI CFO uses users’ cash flow, net worth, and investment portfolios to provide personalised guidance and portfolio reviews.
Finance creator Sharan Hegde’s 1% Club has launched an AI-powered CFO designed to help users make more informed decisions about their money by analysing their financial position, investments and spending patterns.
The tool uses data such as cash flow, net worth, investment portfolios and holdings, combined with 1% Club’s research, to provide personalised financial guidance without requiring users to manually enter every financial detail.
AI CFO analyses personal finances.
The AI CFO is designed to answer practical questions around everyday financial decisions. Users can ask whether they can afford a car next year, how much they should save for an upcoming trip, or whether their current spending and savings patterns need adjustment.
Rather than offering generic financial information, the tool evaluates the user’s broader financial position before providing its recommendations.
It also reviews investment portfolios across eight parameters, including returns, fund quality, benchmark performance, asset allocation, concentration, portfolio overlap, costs and tax position.
The platform can additionally provide relevant news and insights related to users’ mutual funds and stocks.
1% Club targets personalised financial guidance
Sharan Hegde said the challenge in personal finance begins when people have to make decisions involving their own money. According to him, the AI CFO is designed to understand an individual’s financial context and help them evaluate those decisions.
Co-founder Gupta said the company sees a gap between the growing number of financially active Indians and the availability of trusted personalised guidance. The AI CFO is intended to address that gap by bringing a user’s financial information into one system.
1% Club’s growth
The company says its financial education platform has reached nearly one million students.
In 2023, 1% Club raised ₹10 crore in a pre-Series A round from Gruhas, the venture firm co-founded by Nikhil Kamath and Abhijeet Pai.
The company claims to have generated more than ₹150 crore in revenue over the past three years, expanded to a team of more than 200 employees and reached approximately $500 million in assets under advice (AUA).
The AI CFO marks the company’s move from financial education towards a more personalised, technology-led approach to managing and evaluating personal finance.
